Can grow in a wide range of temperatures but not freezing
Plant thyme near carrots, strawberries, tomatoes eggplant, broccoli and cabbage or near rosemary as it has the same watering needs.
The more you trim thyme the more it grows but for the best flavour, harvest thyme just before it flowers. Clip a few sprigs as needed, especially in the morning but leave at least 5cm of growth to help With its recovery.
Multiple small Green leaves on spreading branches with small pink or white flowers.
It grows vigorously so plant anywhere from 30cm to 60cm apart.
Fresh herbs can take a dish from good to great and the aromatic flavour of thyme is no different. It is a big player in many Italian dishes and sauces or it can be added to soups and stews.
